Voest Alpine Steel Service Center

Voestalpine Steel Service Center Romania has a total operating space of 9,500 m2, a slitting line with a connected packing line for high-quality slit strip and a multi-cut-shape line for high quality finished lengths.

Project is developed on 4 ha land in the vicinity of Giurgiu Free Trade Zone, and consisting of production hall, primary material hall, offices and technical spaces with the total surface of 9,500 m². The center has an initial production capacity of 130,000 tons of processed flat-rolled steel products with the possibility of doubling this capacity according to future market development. A total of fifty new jobs have been created, and there is still room for further growth if production develops according to the current business plan and the real market volumes.

Voestalpine Steel Service Center Romania, the youngest member of the Voestalpine Steel Division, is proud to be able to open south-eastern Europe’s most productive pre-processing center for high-quality flat steel products in Giurgiu. A new chapter in area of customer focused pre-processing and the sale of high-quality steel products began at the opening of the Voestalpine Steel Service Center Romania.

This location has assumed a high strategic position and profits from its direct connection to roadway, railway and waterway networks. It was selected because of its central location at the heart of our key markets.
